We took the opposite bet: one trade, one place. Radon mitigation, in Flint and Genesee County: the pre-1980 basements, the block walls, the clay, the sump crocks, the winters that turn a marginal house into a bad number by February. When the only thing you do is pull radon out from under mid-Michigan houses, you stop being surprised by mid-Michigan houses.
What every job is held to
- Systems designed and installed to EPA active soil depressurization guidance: sealed suction points, fans outside living space, labeled components, manometer on every pipe.
- A written performance guarantee with a number in it: below 4.0 pCi/L, designed for under 2.8.
- Verification testing on every single install. The gauge says the fan runs; only the test says the system works.
- Firm quotes before work starts, and the basement left the way we found it.
